COVID Protocols

The Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Health Unit issued an order in regards to the wearing of Face Coverings while in stores and businesses. The order is effective as of 12:01 a.m. on June 12, 2020 and requires all persons who own or operate a Commercial Establishment (i.e. retail business) within the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Health Unit region to:

  1. Prohibit anyone* from entering a Commercial Establishment, or remaining in the Establishment, if they are not wearing a Face Covering
    *Except for:
    • Children under the age of two years
    • Those where wearing a Face Covering would inhibit the Person’s ability to breathe in any way
    • Any other medical reason why the Person cannot safely wear a Face Covering
  2. Ensure the availability of alcohol-based hand rub at all entrances and exits for all to use
To the residents of Wellington-Dufferin Guelph, please wear a Face Covering at all times to help limit the spread of COVID-19, unless you are exempt for any of the above reasons, while entering and inside of a Commercial Establishment.

Scent Detection

Come out and have lots of fun and a tired dog

Scent Detection Training

Class Information

Canine Scent Detection is a great way to have fun with your dog. You teach him to use his nose to find food and/or a scent that is in a container. You work together as a team and you learn how to read his body language when he finds the food/scent. Anyone and any dog can participate, even dogs that have challenges. Each owner and dog work separately by themselves.

For those dogs that are reactive, all the dogs are kept separate during the class.  The benefits of this class is your dog is using his nose and therefore working his brain, which makes for a very tired dog at the end of the class. It helps to re-direct reactive dogs away from what causes the reaction. It is very easy to practice and lots of fun at the same time.
